Keep the item price and the France parcel separate

A warehouse item's listed weight is not necessarily the weight of the final packed parcel. Outer packaging, protective material and consolidation can change the measured result. Dimensions can also influence how a route calculates chargeable weight. Compare routes using the final information displayed for your parcel instead of assuming the lightest product weight will be the billed figure.
For example, an editorial planning scenario with two items weighing 400 g and 600 g does not prove a parcel will be billed as 1 kg.
